Great things come from hard work and perseverance. No Excuses.

-KOBE BRYANT

“One of my earliest sources of inspiration came from the childhood book Salt in His Shoes: Michael Jordan in Pursuit of a Dream. That story, about perseverance and conquering fear helped shape my own dream of becoming a wide receiver in the National Football League. It taught me that a single book, a single conversation, or even one unexpected moment can spark a lifelong purpose. The opportunities my foundation creates inspire me to continually refine my craft and build a lasting platform that will motivate and uplift others for generations to come.”

ABOUT JAXON

Growing up in Rockwall, Texas, Jaxon Smith-Njigba always dreamed big, planned with purpose, and put in the work to see those dreams come to life. From making history as a high school athlete to breaking Rose Bowl records at Ohio State, his journey led him to the NFL, where he was selected as the 20th pick in the 2023 Draft.

Jaxon’s path to success has been built on discipline, sacrifice, and countless hours of training. But he’s the first to say he didn’t do it alone. The unwavering support of his family, the guidance of coaches, the brotherhood of teammates, and the kindness of strangers all played a role in shaping who he is today.

Raised by parents devoted to helping others, Jaxon developed a deep appreciation for community and service. Those values are at the heart of the Smith-Njigba Family Foundation, which is committed to building personal connections and creating meaningful opportunities for youth and families.

Launched in 2025, the foundation is more than an organization. It’s an extension of Jaxon’s life mission: to uplift, inspire, and help others transform the course of their lives.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful servants of God’s grace in its various forms.”
